Inside Singapore: Aljunied Park and Happy Avenues

On Tuesdays I go to Aljunied for my morning aikido training. After today’s session I decided to take a look at the Aljunied Park located three bus stops away from our dojo at Aljunied MRT station.

The park turned out to be very small, but very clean and cosy too. (Are there bad parks in Singapore? :)) I also discovered a very nice residential area with private houses.

A funny sign since the airport is quite far 🙂 No kites are allowed for aircraft safety. Or is there a military base or a private airport nearby?

You can exercise here also, though looks more like for kids and the elderly.

Now I understand the meaning of the name “Happy Avenue”. I’d be happy to live here also 🙂
