On Tuesdays I go to Aljunied for my morning aikido training. After today’s session I decided to take a look at the Aljunied Park located three bus stops away from our dojo at Aljunied MRT station.
The park turned out to be very small, but very clean and cosy too. (Are there bad parks in Singapore? :)) I also discovered a very nice residential area with private houses.

Entrance to the park
A funny sign since the airport is quite far 🙂 No kites are allowed for aircraft safety. Or is there a military base or a private airport nearby?
After the rain: a bench and the children’s playground
You can exercise here also, though looks more like for kids and the elderly.
Happy Avenue North, West, Central – happiness is everywhere!
Dozen shades of green
So this is how it looks like – Aljunied Park.
Serene Happy Avenue Central leading from the park
The house is sinking in plantations.
Chinese lion: guardian of the house 🙂
What a bright combination of colours!
Now I understand the meaning of the name “Happy Avenue”. I’d be happy to live here also 🙂
