Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or ACT, and how it helps me

A great post about ACT therapy from someone very close and dear to me.


Well, life is hard and at the same time it is beautiful, according to the song of my favourite Swedish group Roxette. Although, what I understood from my own experience, everyone MUST know and follow the rules about how to cope with stress and overcome problems in personal, social and professional life. Those problems are necessary part of our being, developing us little by little and making better on the way to our goals and dreams.

However, some people, regarding myself, can worry a lot. This can cause serious health problems, including stomachache, headache, panic attacks. But if we love ourselves we need to know how to solve the problems in a proper safe way.

First thing that is required is acceptance of ourselves. Accept your fears, problems, dissatisfaction. Remember nobody is perfect. JUST ACCEPT! AND CALM DOWN!
